Merchandise Return and Refund Policy

Customers returning equipment in new condition, within 30 days of accepting delivery of Smith-Root merchandise, will be given a refund within five days from the date of the return. Unless otherwise agreed between the parties in writing, valid equipment returns shall only include:

  1. ordering incorrect equipment;
  2. funding deficits; and
  3. defective equipment returned for reimbursement

A completed Return Merchandise Authorization form must accompany all returns. All returns are subject to a restocking fee and the Customer is responsible for applicable shipping charges and any taxes, duties or other fees. The restocking fee is calculated at 20% of the purchase price but will be no less than $100. Customers receiving equipment in damaged condition will be referred to the shipping company for insurance reimbursement.

Custom Order Return and Refund Limitations

Smith-Root is unable to facilitate returns and provide refunds for custom equipment. This limitation supersedes Smith-Root's standard Merchandise Return and Refund policy.

eDNA Filter Pack Return and Refund Limitations

To ensure that Smith-Root eDNA Filter Packs arrive to customers free of contaminating DNA, Smith-Root cannot facilitate returns and provide refunds once filter packs have been delivered. This limitation applies to both opened and unopened filter packs and supersedes Smith-Root's standard Merchandise Return and Refund policy.

Electrical Lineman Gloves Return and Refund Limitations

Electrical Lineman Gloves are a non-returnable item. Please order the correct size as Smith-Root will not accept returns or exchanges on gloves shipped to customers.
